Many people have asked us this. We have directed a lab to run experiments to measure how long it takes for our wipes to break down completely. As soon as we have the results we will put the information here.
Much less than with wood products, and a lot less than recycled toilet paper products which require the use of strong deinking chemicals to make. The bamboo is only treated with hydrogen peroxide during manufacture to make it whiter, nothing else, so it’s much more skin friendly for those with sensitivities.
Our bamboo toilet paper is made of 100% bamboo so breaks down just like any other toilet tissue.
Our bamboo toilet rolls are around the same price, or cheaper than comparable bamboo brands. One of the big differences is that ours is the only 100% FSC bamboo toilet paper in the UK. There’s also a money-saving subscription and bulk buy option available through the website here http://bit.ly/2Gc4LlZ
Our toilet roll is perfect for use with composting toilets as it is made from 100% natural and sustainable bamboo
We use recycled cardboard
Our toilet paper has more sheets per roll than other brands. How long it last depends on whether you use the same amount or use larger quantities because it’s there for the taking!
No harsh chemicals are used to make our toilet paper and tissues because it is made of 100% sustainable virgin bamboo so, unlike recycled paper, they are not needed. We achieve the final white colour by using a skin-friendly water bleach called hydrogen peroxide.
A modern septic tank will be fine with our bamboo toilet paper. We recommend not using our toilet roll with older septic tanks, especially those which have had any problems with traditional toilet paper blockages before.
